The craft of mending extends the life of broken items through intricate needlework, one stitch at a time, repairing the damaged parts. It weaves a tangible connection between people and objects and infuses the mended item with renewed significance and look.

The exhibition 'Mending, Connection, Stories' blends traditional embroidery craftsmanship with modern technology to offer a collaborative and interactive experience. The exhibition presents a collection of broken items gathered from the community, entrusted to be mended using embroidery with conductive thread to sense human touch, which is a potent symbol of connection, carries a wealth of emotions and information. At the moment of touch, you can uncover the stories the object holds and sense its texture and warmth. The connections between people and objects, as well as between individuals, then intertwine in this space and time. Visitors are also encouraged to create embroideries and share their stories, delving into the sentimental journey of the mending process.
